[Japanese craftsmanship used to make this product]
Solid paste:
A technique in which two thin pieces of leather are pasted together by a craftsman to create the appearance of a single piece of leather. By gluing each part together to create a single thin piece of leather, the result is a rubber-like flexibility and high strength finish without losing the texture of the leather. Through years of trial and error, we have achieved the thinness of the leather when bonded together, and the strength that prevents the leather from peeling off even when folded, using a unique solid bonding technique that is recognized throughout the world.
Kobamigaki:
A process in which the cross section of the leather is polished repeatedly by hand using cloth. Because it is a time-consuming and labor-intensive technique, it is rarely practiced around the world. Most products on the market use a finishing technique that involves applying paint to the cross section of the leather. The cross-section of the leather, which has been polished over time and effort, has a natural luster and a beautiful, durable finish.
