This book is the first collection of works by Takuro Tamayama, showcasing his early exhibitions from 2012 to 2015, and his latest work presented at Nonaka-Hill in LA in 2019.

Tamayama creates installations and video works using vividly colored walls, lighting, furniture, and everyday objects, producing compositional and dreamlike color schemes.

In recent years, he has incorporated not only predictable visuals into his installations, but also layers of patterns woven by chance—such as shadows and gravitational rhythms from objects suspended from the ceiling, or noise and moiré patterns in video—bringing a vast, invisible realm into the exhibition space.

This book captures the unique power and rhythm he brings to his exhibition spaces, and also includes a catalog-like review by art critic Takuya Nakao, detailing Tamayama's exhibitions in chronological order.

Simultaneously with the publication, a solo exhibition, "The Sun, Folded," was held from November 22nd to December 11th at the "OIL by Bijutsu Techo" gallery located on the 2nd floor of Shibuya Parco, which reopened in November 2019.
