✴︎A special edition model exclusive to SANTÉ et NOEL, combining the WAITING FOR THE SUN Roger with polarized lenses.✴︎

■Polarized Lenses

These lenses primarily reduce glare from below, such as from water or snow surfaces. Reflected light from snow or water surfaces makes the entire field of vision dazzling and reduces visibility. Polarized lenses block diffuse reflection, resulting in a clear, high-contrast view. Wearing sunglasses with polarized lenses allows you to enjoy snow sports like skiing and snowboarding safely and without stress, even near water or in snowy mountains. They are also recommended as sunglasses for running on concrete or for golf where glare is intense.

■Material
Lens size: 46mm, Bridge: 23mm, Temple length: 145mm

Material: Bio-acetate

■Feature

-Asian Fit-
The nose pads are handcrafted by Japanese artisans using a special "Hanamori" process. Compared to the standard model, the nose pad height is different, ensuring a secure and correct fit without slipping. This solves problems unique to Asians, such as eyelashes touching the lenses or lenses touching the cheeks.

◾️About Bio-Acetate

In the eyewear industry, waste is said to account for 70-80% of the total weight of materials involved in the production process. Finding a material suitable for sunglasses while minimizing the negative impact on the environment was extremely difficult. Cotton, primarily used in acetate, was quickly ruled out as a material for WAITING FOR THE SUN because it requires a lot of water to grow. WAITING FOR THE SUN's bio-acetate is recyclable. We collect waste generated during machining and reuse some of it in the material manufacturing process. Our bio-acetate is made from wood fiber. Well-managed and sustainably cultivated forests contribute to reducing greenhouse gases. Growing trees release more oxygen and absorb more CO2 than aging trees. Our plastic frames are 100% biodegradable plastic. This bioacetate has been verified and certified by OWS (Organic Waste Systems), an internationally recognized independent research institute specializing in biodegradability testing (compliant with ISO 14855).

[Precautions]

Bioacetate is prone to twisting even when simply left standing, so

please handle with care.
